  1. Choosing to either build a new home or buy an old one comes with benefits and disadvantages that you must consider.

Benefits of building a new home

    • No renovations are required since a built house comes completely new.
    • When building your home, you have the option to customize it as you see fit.

Disadvantages of building a new home

    • Building a new home from scratch may sometimes be more expensive than buying an old home.
    • New developments tend to be situated away from the city, far from its amenities.

Benefits of buying an old home

    • Old homes generally tend to be more affordable due to the depreciation of market value for older features.
    • They are likely closer to big city life than newer homes that are farther away.
    • They are often build with higher quality materials.

Disadvantages of buying an old home

    • Renovation costs and time may be too much.
    • Designs may be outdated.
    • Problems may arise from wear and tear.
