  1. The amount of money you should have to move to Canada depends on where you’re coming from, how many people are coming with you, and your purpose for coming to Canada.

    An estimate drawn for a single person to move to Canada is $12,960 CAD, and a couple needs at least $16,135 CAD. For every additional member of your family added, a figure of about $3,500 should be added. If you are coming to Canada to study you should have at least $20,000 CAD to pay initial school fees and get settled in and expect to save more to pay future fees. If you are coming to Canada for work your fees will be significantly lower as you will already have secured employment.
