1. Scope and acceptance
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of movingwaldo.com, including its content, static tools and website forms (collectively, the “Website”). The Website is operated by MovingWaldo Inc. (“MovingWaldo”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By using the Website, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Website. If you submit a form for another person or an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.
These Terms do not limit any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded, including rights available to consumers under applicable consumer protection laws.
2. MovingWaldo’s marketplace for moving services
MovingWaldo’s core service is a marketplace that helps customers request, compare and book moving services. The marketplace is a separate transactional platform available at booking.movingwaldo.com.
When you access or use the marketplace, including to create a move request, receive or compare quotes, select a mover, make a payment or manage a booking, the marketplace Terms of Use and Privacy Policy apply. These Website Terms do not replace or modify those marketplace terms.
Moving companies and other providers displayed on the Website or marketplace are independent businesses. The legal roles, responsibilities, booking rules and payment terms applicable to a marketplace transaction are described in the marketplace Terms of Use.
3. Discontinued services
As of September 1, 2026, MovingWaldo has discontinued its moving dashboard, transactional change-of-address service and Internet finder service. Any terms that governed those legacy transactions continue to apply only to the extent needed to close an existing request, preserve accrued rights, comply with law or resolve a dispute.
Historical records associated with the discontinued moving dashboard and change-of-address service will be handled and deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Static tools and informational content
The discontinued services have been replaced on the Website by static tools and informational resources. Unless a tool clearly says otherwise:
- it does not create a MovingWaldo account or moving dashboard;
- information entered into it is not submitted to MovingWaldo or a third party;
- it does not send a change-of-address notice, order a service or complete a transaction; and
- any progress saved in your browser remains on your device and can be cleared through the tool or your browser settings.
Website tools, checklists, calculators, articles, price information, provider information and other content are provided for general information and planning. Results may be estimates and may not reflect your specific circumstances, local requirements, current availability or a provider’s final price. You are responsible for verifying important information before relying on it or making a decision.
5. Website forms and requests
The Website may include forms for general inquiries, quote or referral requests, claims, partnerships, senior moving services or other communications. When you submit a form, you agree to:
- provide information that is accurate and reasonably necessary for the request;
- provide another person’s personal information only with proper authority or consent;
- avoid uploading unlawful, malicious or irrelevant material; and
- permit MovingWaldo to contact you and process the submission for the purpose described on the form.
Submitting a form does not guarantee a response, quote, referral, booking, claim decision or service. It does not create a contract with a mover or other provider unless the applicable parties separately confirm one. If you ask us to route a quote or service request, we may send the information needed to the provider involved, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
6. Permitted use
MovingWaldo grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to access and use the Website for lawful personal or internal business purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You must not:
- use the Website unlawfully, fraudulently or in a way that infringes another person’s rights;
- interfere with the Website’s operation, security or access controls;
- introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, scrape the Website in a manner that creates an unreasonable load, or use automated means contrary to instructions we provide;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation;
- submit content you do not have the right to provide; or
- reproduce, sell, license or commercially exploit a substantial part of the Website except with our written permission or as allowed by law.
We may restrict access, remove a submission or take other reasonable action if we believe these Terms have been violated or the Website, its users or third parties are at risk.
7. Intellectual property
The Website and its content, including text, graphics, photographs, logos, software, design and compilations, are owned by or licensed to MovingWaldo and are protected by intellectual property laws. MovingWaldo and related names and logos are trademarks or trade names of MovingWaldo.
You may view, use and print reasonable excerpts for personal, non-commercial purposes, provided that you do not remove notices or misrepresent the source. No other right or licence is granted except as expressly stated in these Terms or permitted by law.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you as the source without permission.
8. Third-party services, links and content
The Website may link to or display information from independent movers, service providers, review platforms and other third parties. Links and listings are provided for convenience and information. Unless expressly stated, MovingWaldo does not control or endorse third-party websites, policies, content, availability, prices or services.
Mover profiles may display MovingWaldo Verified reviews from customers whose moves were booked through the platform, as well as reviews from third-party sources such as Google. Every review identifies its source. Reviews reflect the opinions and experiences of their authors, and you should conduct your own assessment before selecting a provider.
Your use of a third-party website or service is governed by that third party’s terms and policies. Any contract you enter into directly with a third party is between you and that third party, subject to the separate marketplace terms where the transaction occurs through the MovingWaldo marketplace.
9. Website availability and changes
We may update, suspend, remove or discontinue any Website content, feature or static tool. We do not guarantee that the Website will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that every error will be corrected. We may also update these Terms by posting a revised version and changing the date above. We will provide additional notice when required by law.
10. Privacy, cookies and electronic communications
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information submitted through the Website and any technical, analytics or cookie data that may be collected.
When you provide contact information in a form, we may send messages needed to respond to and administer your request. We will send commercial electronic messages only as permitted by law, and you may use any unsubscribe mechanism provided for optional marketing messages.
11. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the Website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. MovingWaldo does not warrant that Website content or tool results are complete, current, accurate or suitable for a particular purpose. Moving, pricing, service availability, address-change requirements and provider information can change, and professional or official advice may be appropriate for your situation.
Nothing on the Website is legal, financial, insurance or other professional advice. Nothing in these Terms excludes a legal warranty or obligation that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MovingWaldo and its directors, officers and employees will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the Website.
This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability resulting from intentional or gross fault, bodily or moral injury, or any mandatory consumer right. Your rights and remedies against a mover or other provider are governed by your agreement with that provider and, where applicable, the marketplace Terms of Use.
13. Responsibility for your use
You are responsible for your use of the Website and for decisions you make based on its content. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate MovingWaldo for losses, claims and reasonable costs caused by your unlawful use of the Website, your infringement of another person’s rights, or content you knowingly submit without authority. This obligation does not apply to the extent a loss was caused by MovingWaldo or cannot legally be imposed on you.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Subject to any mandatory consumer protection or other law that gives you the right to bring a proceeding elsewhere, disputes concerning the Website or these Terms will be submitted to the courts of the judicial district of Montreal, Quebec.
Before starting a proceeding, you and MovingWaldo are encouraged to try to resolve the issue by contacting one another, unless urgent relief or a limitation period requires immediate action.
15. General provisions
If a provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; MovingWaldo may assign them as part of a financing, reorganization, merger, sale or transfer of its business, subject to applicable law.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any terms expressly incorporated by reference, are the entire agreement concerning use of the Website. Separate marketplace terms govern marketplace transactions.
