Our story

Founded in 2015 out of Concordia University's District 3 incubator, MovingWaldo began as a change of address service created to make one of life's most stressful transitions feel simpler.

As we learned more about what people needed most during a move, we pivoted into the fully managed moving services marketplace we are today. Our growth accelerated through partnerships with real estate companies such as Centris, duProprio, Pillar To Post, Rentsync, and la CORPIQ, along with referrals from more than 5,000 realtors.

MovingWaldo now helps people across 14 Canadian markets book local, long-distance, and even international moves. In 2026, the company expanded its footprint by acquiring Gvota.ca and Movemate.ca, bringing more trusted moving experiences under one Canadian platform.

Today, MovingWaldo brings together more than 100 movers across the country, with new partners added monthly. We are also proud members of the Canadian Association of Movers, and we are committed to helping raise the standard of trust, service, and professionalism in the industry.
