  1. Locate your nearest Driver Licensing Regional Offices.
  2. You will be required to bring along your proof of residency when you go in, such as a utility bill, bank statement, or rental agreement.

If you are moving from another state to Kentucky, you need to get a new driver’s license from the Kentucky DMV. You have to apply for a new license within 30 days of your move and also register your vehicle within 15 days of establishing residency, considering you have a valid, unexpired driver’s license from another U.S. state.
