What is the Election Canada?
Elections Canada is the sole agency responsible for administering Canadian federal elections. Its responsibility is to ensure that Canadians can exercise their choices in federal elections and referendums through an open and impartial process and its primary task is to be prepared at all times to administer an electoral event.
Who must notify Election Canada of a change of address?
You must inform Election Canada if you have the right to vote in Canada. You must be 18 years and older.

Immigration and Citizenship Canada
Change your address with the Immigration and Citizenship agency of Canada.
Use this service if:
You have an application in process with CIC. You are eligible if:
- your case is being processed in Canada;
- your address is in Canada;
- you are moving within three weeks or have already moved.
What you will need:
Any documents related to your application, such as:
- A copy of your application;
- Your payment receipt;
- Any letters or official document received from CIC.
Canada Savings Bonds Program
Change your address with the Canada Savings Bonds program.
Use this service if:
You own one of the followings:
- Payroll Plan;
- Bond Certificates;
- Registered products (Canada RSP or Canada RIF).
What you will need:

- Your Payroll Savings Plan Number (10 digits);

Canadian Firearms Program
What is the Canadian Firearms Program?
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police is the federal and national police force of Canada, also responsible for the Canadian Firearms Program.
Who must notify the Royal Canadian Mounted Police of a change of address?
Anyone who own a licenced firearm.
What you will need:
Your firearm licence number.
Change of address in Quebec
Quebec residents can use the Service Québécois de Chagement d’Adresse (SQCA). It will update your account with 6 Québec ministries including the SAAQ (motor vehicle licence and registration) and the RAMQ (health insurance).
Driving licence (SAAQ), Health Insurance card (RAMQ), Revenu Quebec and more.
What is the Service Québécois de changement d’adresse (SQCA)?
In a single step, send your new address to 6 participating departments and agencies with Service Québécois de Changement d’Adresse (SQCA). This service is managed by Service Quebec.
Who must notify Service Québec of change of address?
You are enrolled with one or more of these ministers of government agencies:
- Directeur général des élections du Québec;
- Ministère du Travail, de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale;
- Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec;
- Retraite Québec;
- Revenu Québec;
- Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec.

Report your move to Hydro-Québec.
Use this service if:
You rent or own a residence and hold an account with Hydro-Québec.
What you will need:
- Your Hydro-Québec account number; or
- Your Hydro-Québec online account login information.
Hunter’s or Trapper’s Certificate
Change your address on your Hunter’s or Trapper’s certificate.
You also must change your address with Canada firearms Program at federal level.

You hold a Hunter’s or Trapper’s certificate.
What you will need:
